2026-2027 extended days at wcps

Extended Day runs from 2:30 – 3:30 PM or 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The dates for are August 19,2026 - May 18, 2027.

We will follow the WCPS school calendar for holidays,  staff training days and early dismissal days. We will also follow Metro Schools Schedule for weather related closings.

The cost for extended days (2:30 - 3:30) is $16 per day. The cost for extended day (2:30 - 5:00) is $40 per day. You must commit to cover your chosen day(s) for the entire session. 

There is no registration fee. Your program cost will be deducted through Tuition Express following the Tuition Payment Schedule.

Extended Day will be a time for your child to enjoy an afternoon snack, have free play options, participate in creative activities and be read to. Your child’s teacher will escort them to their Extended Day classroom, if it is in a different room than their regularly attended classroom.

Extended Day is for the sole use of families in 

which both parents are working full time and used only during parent's working hours. Church members have priority. If days are available they will be offered to our remaining families.

In the case that we receive more applications than spots available we will hold a lottery draw to fill spots. We have limited staff members to work on Fridays so will only take a few students.

No Extended Day on September 9th (Open House)

If Fundraiser occurs on a Friday, we will not hold ED on that date and families will be credited for that day - TBD

Extended Day (2:30-5:00) - $40 a day
