Effective with registration January 2007, Woodmont Christian Preschool will implement a new lottery application process. The new process is designed to eliminate the need for families to wait in line or "camp out" the nights before and mornings of registration.

Priority will be given in the following order:
    1. Woodmont Christian Church members currently enrolled in WCPS
    2. Current children enrolled in WCPS
    3. Woodmont Christian Church members new to WCPS
    4. Siblings of WCPS alumni
    5. New applicant families

Within each of the five groups listed, requested days will be based on the family's original application date of the oldest child. In the event that the first child has graduated the program but siblings are still currently enrolled, the alumnus' original application date will determine priority.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: All applications will be due by Wednesday, January 31, 2008.
Any applications received after that date will be placed on a waiting list.

All children from the same family will be placed at the same time. If there are not enough spaces to accommodate multiple families who are requesting the same days, a lottery drawing will occur.

For instance, if there are 5 families requesting a Tuesday/Thursday schedule in the 3's and there are only 2 such openings, the application dates will be used to determine priority. If those 5 families have the same application date, then spots will be filled by a lottery drawing. The family drawn first will have its request filled and then the next family drawn, etc.

With respect to all new applicant families (category 5 above), to the extent that original requests can not be accommodated, priority will be determined based on the random drawing system, thereby eliminating the need to wait in line or "camp out".

The lottery will be processed by an Admissions Committee, which will meet during the second week of January to fill enrollment for the following school year.
